Bianca Sapet is a local San Antonio singer that merges her love of Mexican and Mexican-American folklore with social justice work. Her repertoire includes, boleros, rancheras, Afro-Cuban rhythms, Chicano Soul, and ancient indigenous rhythms of Mexico.
Sapet transmits the spirit of the songs of her ancestors as a means to heal herself and others. Sapet is intrigued by the healing potential of music and the ability to transcend barriers through music. She hopes to perpetuate the folklore of her ancestors through her own interpretation of their songs.

This show was a one woman exhibit of Debora Kuetzpal Vasquez's new work. These pieces were created specifically for this exhibit in Habana, Cuba, May 2018. I created songs for this exhibit to help tell Debora's life story.
